Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Coppr collects only the data you enter directly into the app:

• Spending entries — the text and amounts you log each day.
• Budget settings — your monthly budget amount and start date.
• Subscriptions — names and amounts of recurring expenses you add.
• Category data — spending categories assigned by you or by Rusty (our AI).

All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No account or sign-up is required to use Coppr.

2. iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud Drive enabled, your Coppr data may sync across your Apple devices via iCloud. This is controlled entirely by your device settings and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Coppr does not have independent access to your iCloud data.

3. AI Spending Categorisation (Rusty)

When you log a spending entry, the text is sent to an external AI API solely for categorisation. The following applies:

• Only the spending text is transmitted — no personal identifiers or financial totals.
• Data is used exclusively to return a category and is not retained or used for AI training.
• Transmission is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Coppr does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or any commercial purpose. The only external service used is the AI categorisation API described above.

5. Tracking, Analytics & Advertising

Coppr contains no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising of any kind. We do not use any third-party SDKs that collect behavioural data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

All your data lives on your device. You can delete all Coppr data at any time by deleting the app, which permanently removes all locally stored data.

7. Children's Privacy

Coppr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
