Terms of Use
Effective date: 1 June 2026
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Coppr. By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms govern your use of the Coppr iOS application, published by Mihai Ghiga ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be of the legal age required to form a binding contract in your country of residence to use Coppr. If you are under that age, you may use the app only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
3. What Coppr does
Coppr is a personal budgeting aid that turns your monthly budget into a daily spending allowance with carry-forward rollover. You log expenses by typing natural-language text or by speaking ("shake to speak"), and your entries are turned into structured spending items. Your budgeting data is stored locally on your device; Coppr does not require an account.
4. App provided as-is
The app is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or that budget calculations will be perfectly accurate in all circumstances. You use the app at your own risk.
5. Not financial advice
Coppr is a personal budgeting aid only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial advice or professional financial guidance. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions, and we accept no liability for any financial loss arising from your use of the app.
6. AI features & accuracy
Coppr uses an AI service (and, when offline, an on-device parser) to interpret the text you log into structured expense entries. To do this, the raw text you type or dictate is sent to a third-party AI provider as described in our Privacy Policy. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate — you are responsible for reviewing and correcting your entries, and we are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated results.
7. Voice input
If you log expenses by voice, your microphone audio is transcribed using Apple's speech recognition, which sends the audio to Apple's servers for processing. By using the voice feature you consent to this, and to the device permissions Coppr requests for the microphone and speech recognition.
8. Subscriptions, auto-renewal & payments
Certain features are unlocked through an auto-renewing subscription ("Shiny Coppr"). The following terms apply:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings at any time.
- The price and billing period are shown in the app at the point of purchase.
- Free trial: [7 Days]. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Purchases, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's Standard EULA and the App Store terms.
9. No account & device responsibility
Coppr does not require you to create an account, and your data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the data stored on it. We cannot recover your budgeting data if your device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app or its supporting services. In particular, you must not reverse engineer the app, attempt to gain unauthorised access to or disrupt our backend or APIs, send automated, excessive, or fraudulent requests, or use the app in violation of any applicable law.
11. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and branding within the app are the intellectual property of the developer and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.
12. Apple App Store terms
These Terms are between you and Coppr only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any claims relating to the app are governed by these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Updates & discontinuation
We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the app at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the app.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
16. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
